"Lovely spacious room, decent price, quick responses to all my enquiries and parking for 48 hours at £3 is a bonus!! Only downfall was the shower was a bit dirty and dusty, other than that it's a great place to stay, close to the sea front and town centre! Would stay again! :)"

"The twin room we had was fine if basic. Bedding was clean but there was no mattress protector and there were two old pillows squashed into one pillowcase. The beds were small- child’s width. One issue was the location - lots of drunks walking past and people taking drugs on the benches over the road where the property looked out to the sea. The outside area was shoddy and uninviting and uncomfortable to sit in due to the drunks walking by and shouting obscenities. Also chairs and tables cheap...

"Arrival was easy, nobody manning reception but was not a problem, key left on the side clearly labelled and clear instructions etc. Room clean and well presented, good amenities, including tea, coffee, fresh milk etc. Room not perfectly blackout with some streetlight coming in round the side of the curtains, and a faint green light from the fire exit sign, not something that bothers me as I sleep with my eyes closed, but some day dreamers might want a blindfold. "Sadly, this was a bad experience. I booked via Expedia where the hotel was advertising a Michelin trained chef and a restaurant. I travelled solo 145 miles for a two night break purely because of this. Upon arrival, I was disappointed to learn the restaurant closed last year. I expressed this disappointment in very civil tones, explaining this was the only reason for my visit. "Lovely room in an excellent location, very near town centre and a beautiful park across the street. Room was comfortable and well maintained. The owners were helpful and communicated very well. Parking was nearby and free Whitby never disappoints and we would stay at Broomfield house again."
