"Great base to explore IOW (by car), nowhere is very far away.Enjoyed visiting Godshill, Shipwreck Centre, Carisbrooke Castle, Newtown Nature Reserve, Freshwater Bay (great waves!), Cowes, Sandown, Ventnor and Shanklin. Also climbed Bembridge Windmill and had lunch at St Helen's beach.Had a boiler breakdown on first morning so had no hot water for 4 days, happened on the Friday so difficult to find someone to repair it. "Property was very clean and had everything that we needed. It did have two bedrooms which would be OK if you had two adults and two small kids. Not enough room for 4 adults, but it was perfect for my husband and myself. Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the lady working in reception who was wonderful and very understanding when we accidentally booked the wrong date for checking out. The location was great in Seaview, walking distance to the sea with some lovely eating places...

"This flat is lovely, clean, light and airy. The location is fantastic - just swimsuit on and walk straight down to the beach! The flat had everything we needed. I chose this location for speedy access to the beach, buses to elsewhere on the Island, and food shops - all really close. For swimmers I recommend checking when high tide is, for me high tide is the best swim experience on Ventnor beach. Low tide you are wading through rocks a little bit, but don't let that put you off, you can still...
