"The twin room we had was fine if basic. Bedding was clean but there was no mattress protector and there were two old pillows squashed into one pillowcase. The beds were small- child’s width. One issue was the location - lots of drunks walking past and people taking drugs on the benches over the road where the property looked out to the sea. The outside area was shoddy and uninviting and uncomfortable to sit in due to the drunks walking by and shouting obscenities. Also chairs and tables cheap...

"Lovely room in an excellent location, very near town centre and a beautiful park across the street. Room was comfortable and well maintained. The owners were helpful and communicated very well. Parking was nearby and free Whitby never disappoints and we would stay at Broomfield house again."

"Parking was on the street. We stayed during a busy weekend so parking was bit hard to find but only 5min walk away. It cost £5 for the weekend. Hotel it great location with a. 10min walk into town or 10minute walk to beach. Hotel was very clean. Staff were friendly and went above and beyond to provide extras for our stay. We had the family 2 bed room on the top floor. There's alot of stairs to get to it and the last few to the room are narrow. The room is in the loft with alot of low beams. I...

"A lovely inn situated in a peaceful village but very handy for visiting the attractions within York and the North Yorkshire National park. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and our room was very clean and comfortable. We can recommend the food and drinks on offer in the air conditioned restaurant, both on the evening we stayed and for breakfast the following day. Top marks."
