2 Bed in Mortehoe (oc-wyke1)

Escape to this tastefully converted Georgian vicarage set in the coastal village of Morthoe, and enveloped by tranquil farmland. This contemporary oasis is a wonderful base for small families or couples seeking a secluded retreat with their waggy-tailed companions. Admire the waves lapping at the rocky shoreline as you settle in for an al fresco Sri Lankan curry on Barricane Beach (1 mile), before stretching sandy toes in the warmth of the wood burner and toasting with a post-adventure drink.

This traditional stone property features an airy interior with crisp neutral tones, clean lines, and thoughtful design touches. Kick off your shoes at the door and step into the open-plan heart of the home. Throw another log on the crackling wood burner then flop down on the inviting padded seats and debrief over a fresh brew. The resident chef can join in the discussion as they whip up a simple supper in the kitchen. Raid the fridge for a celebratory bottle of fizz then congregate at the sleek dining table for an evening of festivities. Ascend the staircase to discover two well-presented bedrooms, consisting of a light-dappled double with beachy soft furnishings, and a colourful twin. Early risers can grab a coffee and bask in the serenity of their lush countryside setting from the lawn.

North Devon is a premier holiday destination for leisure lovers and adventure-seekers alike. Whether you are tackling the swells on a group surf session at Woolacombe Beach (1 mile), navigating the intricate network of hand-carved passages etched into the cliffs above Tunnels Beach (6.5 miles), or sipping a sundowner at the Mediterranean wine bar in Ilfracombe (8 miles), there is plenty to ensure your getaway is unforgettable.
