"We were met at the door by Caroline the owner who was very friendly with good local knowledge for eating and generally getting around Windsor. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice on offer. We didn't realise the castle was closed on a Wednesday, so we plan to go back to this B&B very soon. Thank you."

"Excellent location next to the river, within walking distance to everything. The chilled drinking water in the lobby was a nice touch. The room was small but comfortable, but it had a peculiar smell, maybe just from the age of the building? Despite being on the ground floor, there were stairs up and down and an awkward corridor to reach it. The restaurant was overpriced for what it offered, but it was our first night and we were too tired and jetlagged to go out in search of food."

"This was a last minute booking due to an error I made. The room was lovely and clean. It was nicely appointed and modern. I went out for dinner but I had smoked salmon and scrambled egg for breakfast and it was nicely presented and well cooked. The only thing stopping me giving it 5/5 overall was minor noise overnight. There was a fan in the bathroom that I couldn’t seem to control (not the switch controlled extractor which went off after a short time) and because the rooms are quite close and the doors are heavy there was some noise at times but it’s a pub with rooms rather than a hotel so it’s probably to be expected. Overall it was ideal for a night and I’d still return again as the overall stay outweighed the minor noise issue."
