Hosts Liz and Graham are so warm and welcoming - they were a huge help through our patch of illness, providing understanding, comfortable lodging and excellent breakfast! Hearty recommendation from us to any and all travelers!

Wonderful hospitality from Liz and Graham. Spotless rooms, comfortable beds and a lovely breakfast. The location was great with many places to eat nearby. We were given great information from Liz and Graham about walks and places to dine etc. Would go back there to stay. Thank you Liz and Graham!

Liz & Graham are wonderful hosts, that make a real effort to know their guests. They have created a very welcoming B&B with a home like feel. I have no hesitation in highly recommending Brook House to anyone that wants to enjoy the Lakes District.

Pleasant weekend away

Really well presented B&B, clean & tidy. The hosts are friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Very close to centre of Windermere, only 5 minutes walk to the shops. Lake is about 20-30 minutes walk from the door.

Amazing

We were so impressed by the kindness and warm welcome of our hosts. You cannot find a better place to stay. Very clean, location in the center, excellent breakfast, beautiful room. We will certainly go back. Private parking in front of the door entrance! Amazing is not enough.

We had a wonderful two-night stay at Brook House and it was definitely one of the highlights of our three-day trip to the Lake District. Our hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, and they genuinely cared about making our stay enjoyable. They even remembered our breakfast preferences from the first morning, which was such a thoughtful touch. We also really appreciated all the local travel tips and recommendations. The house is full of useful maps and guidebooks, and many of the suggestions they shared were the kind of hidden gems that only locals would know. Their advice made a real difference to our trip. What impressed us most was how they treated us more like friends than guests. We enjoyed chatting with them, and they even kindly gave us a lift to the train station when we left, which we really appreciated. The house is surrounded by a beautiful, well-kept garden in a peaceful setting. Our room was spotless, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. It was a little on the small side and didn’t have a chair, but we actually enjoyed sitting on the bed and looking out of the lovely window view. Breakfast was another highlight. There was a good choice each morning, and everything was fresh, delicious and healthy. Thank you both for your wonderful hospitality. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend Brook House to anyone visiting the Lake District.

Best B&B

We really enjoyed our stay. First of all we arrived late. Liz and Graham were there to greet us with a cup of tea! They are brilliant hosts. They gave us great recommendations of where to walk to and visit and also wonderful restaurants. We will definitely stay there again when we're in the Lake District. We usually camp but decided n a change this time and what a great decision that was . Liz & Graham are excellent hosts . The communication was perfect . The room was clean bright and fresh . Tea and coffee biscuits in the room a great touch and extras in n hand when needed . Breakfast choice was great and cooked perfectly too . The service on breakfast was great too . Loads of info for the area was given too . Altogether a great weekend we would defo love to come back .

2泊しました 美味しい朝食、ご馳走様でした トマトとマッシュルーム、ぶどうやいちごのフレッシュさに驚きました 隣室や上階の音があまりにも聞こえるのに最初は驚きましたが、アットホームな雰囲気を楽しめて良かったです おもてなしは日本のみかと思っていたので、日本に負けないおもてなしを受けて驚きました ありがとうございました❤️

Great stay at brook house

Amazing stay at Brook House. The hosts were so accommodating and informative about great things to do on our trip. Fabulous breakfast in the morning, highly recommended staying here.

we had an absolutely brilliant stay at brook house. it has a great location, close to shops and Windermere lake, easy to park, Liz and Graham were excellent hosts! had a few lovely chats with them over breakfast (which was DELICIOUS by the way) and they were incredibly accomodating with my partner and I being vegan. I even got some little chocolates and balloons in my room for my birthday! the room we stayed in was lovely and cozy, comfortable bed, super clean, and had everything you would need for tea and coffees (and a TV we plugged our Amazon firestick into for Disney! perfect!) we booked to come back in October before we had even left to come home!

Brook House B&B

Liz and Graham are wonderful hosts, everyone is made to feel welcome. Breakfasts are amazing with an incredible choice of food. Bedroom number 2, although small, is very comfortable with an en suite shower and WC. Cleanliness is a feature of the accommodation, towels and bed linen were fresh and clean. Off road parking is a tremendous asset, enabling easy transfer of luggage. This accommodation is highly recommended.

Our stay was great - hosts Liz and Graham were attentive and really lovely - room was really comfy and had great night's sleep - able to walk into the town to find loads of places to eat. Great location and great stay!
