"I was looking for a place that was central to a couple of Renaissance Faires in the area and ended uo choosing this one due to its location and affordability. What an awesome place to stay. We're considering staying here next year when the Faires return."

"Great location for family gathering! Casino, shopping, restaurants, historic area, great fenced backyard and playhouse in addition to an amazing well appointed home that had plenty of room for our blended family. This is situated right off the green and very convenient! The down side to this is that from the front rooms at night you may hear traffic, so light sleepers should get the rooms (there are 8 with 1 very small tandem bedroom) farther back in the house. We will definitely go back!"

"My granddaughter and great-grandchildren had a wonderful time at the Bear Lake Lodge. Glasgo Pond is a wonderful swimming lake, so the access across the street was perfect. Lots of games for the kids, nicely updated decor, and easy access from major highways made this a great week!"

"Great location. Was close to Foxwoods Casino. Space was great and accommodated 4 adults. The host was very attentive to detail and appreciated that. Loved seeing the horses and deer. Had a fully stocked kitchen with pans and plates for us to make a nice breakfast meal. Would love to stay again in warmer weather and use back porch. "

"Edgar was very quick to respond to all my inquiries. We stayed here for the weekend. We had eight in our party. We had ample room/beds. The house was very clean and the pictures on website are accurate. There was ample parking. Easy access on and off 395. There are three small things I am going to mention, there were no washcloths (I normally bring loofahs but forgot them) so we had to run to Walmart. The pillows are thin and you would need to use at least two for a comfortable sleep (I always...
