"We had the perfect fall getaway in this cabin. Our group was friends in their 40s and two 18-year-olds. We let the teenagers have the downstairs with the TV so they could play their video games. The adults took the upstairs which had the kitchen and the fireplace. It was chilly while we were there and we much enjoyed the wood-burning fireplace, added great ambience. We got great use out of the kitchen for cooking meals and we all fit great around the extra large kitchen table for eating and activities. The large hot tub was nice and toasty with a great view of the lake. We enjoyed getting out on the two boats that are offered with the property. Very peaceful out on the lake. The couches in both living room areas were very comfy. Several games were provided. The host was super friendly. Excellent communication, quick to fix any issues, very flexible with check-in and check-out times. The property is located through a gated community which adds an extra level of feeling safe, but also this house is surrounded by woods so you don’t feel like you’re right on top of your neighbors. You’re in a neighborhood but you don’t feel like it you are. You feel like you’re in a cabin in the woods. Beautiful drive around the lake and into the Lake Lure area. We ate at Victory Kitchen near by twice for breakfast it was so yummy. There is also an Ingles grocery store about 20 mins away for any grocery needs. We would definitely stay here again. "

"The location was amazing. So beautiful and peaceful. The house was gorgeous, the pictures didn’t even do it justice. The front porch was excellent for hanging out, the back deck provided an incredible view, and the many different amenities like the fire pit and hot tub were utilized and enjoyed! The kitchen was labeled clearly helping us find what we needed and the only thing we wished it had that it didn’t was a crock pot which was totally fine! The dining area was spacious and even had a high chair which was wonderful for our 1 year old! No straps or tray but we just pulled it over to the table and he did great. The pool table and massage chair were both used quite a bit during our stay. No complaints about any of the bedrooms. Our only issue in the house was with the water, if two people try to shower in different bathrooms one of the showers will cut off. But the owners did warn of water supply issues so you just need to be mindful of making sure only one person is using water in the house at a time. The hike to the waterfall that is within the gated community was not too difficult and so worth it. We were able to take our 3 small children with only an occasional stumble but the waterfall was beautiful to see. I can’t say enough good things about this property. I wish our stay had been longer! "The cabin was perfect. The view while sitting on the deck chatting with friends was just as amazing as it looks in the photos. Quick and easy travel to Black Mountain and Asheville. This trip was a do-over from a trip planned for the same time last year when Hurricane Helene did such horrific damage. Contact was initiated by the cabin owner in 2024 asking if I would like to cancel my reservation because although their cabin had no damage, so much of the surrounding area was devastated. I certainly didn't expect the cabin owner to reach out to me about canceling the reservation and refunding my fees, but that's exactly what happened. Hence when we rescheduled our trip, I immediately booked the same cabin. As an aside, I know from my 2024 plans, that although their cabin wasn't damaged, surrounding neighbors were in need and they did all they could to help others in the area post Helene. Wonderful cabin! Wonderful cabin owners!"

"We had a great time on our trip to the mountains! Our host was very responsive to a few questions we had, and added several sweet personal touches to our stay that made the house cozy and welcoming, especially for my kids. We hiked the Catawba Trail, spent some time in nearby Black Mountain, and made s'mores by the firepit. It was a great weekend getaway for a family. "
