"Great weekend stay. We were aiming to be secluded away from our busy, noisy city life and definitely got the calm and peaceful vibes. Owners were great and responsive from the 1st til our check-out day. Our cabin was great, spacious and clean. The property was well maintained. We used the pool/jacuzzi both days and enjoyed the peace & quiet. Will definitely be back if in the area again. Thank you :)"

"This house was a perfect size for our 9 adult guests and one dog. The inside of the house was very clean and well stocked. The hosts were clear with all communications and directions to make check in and check out easy. The trail down to the river is great but does require good footwear. In other words, no flip flops or you'll be taking a flop. The beach and river access across the street is really nice and is exactly 1 mile from the house if you choose to walk. A large grocery store (Ingles) is a 10 minute drive from the house with everything you would need or forgot. Lake Lure and Chimney Rock are about a 15 minute drive. I highly recommend renting a pontoon boat from Jenny at Lake Lure Boat Rentals. It was a great experience! Asheville is an hour drive and a great day trip. Everyone we met was friendly, welcoming and often shared stories of resilience and hope from the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. There are scares from the devastation but they are rebuilding and thriving with much strength. If you were hesitant about visiting this area, don't be. It is a beautiful destination that offers so much between the mountains, lakes, rivers and quaint historic towns."

"It was a great vacation for our family. We saw bears at the beach area, and that was quite the experience. We spent lots of time enjoying the deck and view. The kids had a great time. The kayaks were their favorite!"

"If you are looking for a taste of local North Carolina color, this is your hideaway! Nestled in the woods, it immediately makes you feel that you have stepped into a scene from Dirty Dancing. The interior is woody and comfortable. Lots of games and entertainment for the young and young at heart. And clean! Attention to detail happens at every turn. But we were not surprised because the host was as attentive to us as to the details of the home. It is a family-friendly, comfortable, and relaxing home away from home."

"It would help a lot if the toaster was replaced, and fix a small toilet leak in the bottom floor bathroom. Besides those small issues, the house was clean and ready for us to use. The views were amazing and the trail to the lake was convenient, my girls had a lot of fun exploring. Thank you so much!"

"Nice stay to celebrate America 250! Loved the big American flag on the wall :) Everythihg was clean and easy check in. Beutiful view and nice area. Downstairs area was great for a kid hang out. Big Mirror Lake is nice. We liked the dog bedding and bowls. "Would just note that all roads in developement are gravel. Would rent again :)"
