"The attic rooms, which are expensive, are not fit for purpose in hot weather. No air-con, of course, but you can barely open the windows. The sun blasts on to the roof just above and creates an oven! The provided fan was little help. Very bad night's sleep. The unhelpful receptionist told me that the hot room was due to the heat. I asked if we could swap rooms, but he said the hotel was fully booked, despite a portable sign outside saying 'Rooms available tonight'. Breakfast was very poor....

"Last-minute booking for Goodwood Festival of Speed and luckily we found a room here. It was better than I expected from photo, a spacious room with a 4-poster bed, the bathroom had a bath and a walk-in shower. Although no air-con, there was a large fan and we slept well.
