"I would describe the stay as travelodge level rooms- fairly basic. Probably a 2-3 star stat. Standard of cleanliness isn’t great- the room had a faint smell of damp or urines. The mugs in the room were also dirty The facilities were surprisingly impressive- a good sized pool and proper gym. We stayed here and spent the first day in Portsmouth and the second day in Chichester. It’s a good and accessible location."

"On arrival I was informed that I had only booked a single room. Ok my mistake obviously. However, on requesting a double and being told there wasn't any rooms available, the receptionist was rather unhelpful and quite rude as she proceeded to tell me that I had only single occupancy and emphasised that I had not booked breakfast. We have stayed there before and whilst accepting that it is an old victorian style building, I was not expecting the receptionist to be from those days. Manners cost nothing and a little bit of compassion towards our dilemma would not have gone amiss. We will not book here again."

"Just had five nights at Best Western Princes Marine. There is limited free parking so it's a first come basis. Reception was friendly, warm and welcoming. There's a large lift to all floors. My room was a good size with a king sized bed, the room was comfortable and well appointed, as was the bathroom. Breakfast has a great selection to choose from. It's the kind of place I like as staff hover in the background rather than being overly present. This is the sort of hotel that would suit singles, couples, family's. There is disabled access in and around the hotel. I highly recommend their restaurant Chilli & Mango which is also open to non-patrons. I wouldn't hesitate to come back on my next visit."

"It’s okay for a night or two stay. We asked for a cotbed to be set up before arriving via message. However, when we arrived, there wasn’t one set up so we asked at reception. We waited around an hour for it to be delivered and had to ask again before one arrived. Breakfast was okay, bit of a shamble one morning where we had to eat at the lobby as there were no more tables. People were waiting for tables, food, the croissants and muffins had all run out."

"Don’t book here unless you are happy with broken furniture, stained carpets with burn marks, curtains hanging off a single hook and not covering windows. A bathroom window in the shower/bath facing the street without frosting or efficient covering. Old bed, full of lumps and ridges, only fit for the rubbish tip, stale cigarette smoke wafting through passages and random pieces of furniture and hoover in the passages. Staff catnapping in “waiting area”"
