"Mocanita" is a steam engine train that takes tourists through the gorges of the Vaser River in the region of Maramures, Romania.
Very nice accommodation in Maramures! The food is good, the rooms are large, they even have their own mini-Mocanita [narrow-gauge railway/train] in the courtyard. Visited in winter/early spring and summer. The charm of the region is unchanged. #WinterWonders
Alt. 1400 m, perfect road and beautiful scenery. Prislop Pass in the north of Romania, crossing Rodna Mountains. You can stop in Borsa for a night or two and explore the mountains around the resort or even use the chairlift that takes you near a very beautiful waterfall - Cascada Cailor.
