"Kind hostess and clean room. Great value for the price."

"Would absolutely stay again if in the Selfoss area. Breakfast was sensational, the staff available and personable, the room was excellent. Sadly the weather was not cooperating for a visit to the farm animals."

"The staff were lovely and very nice!! Location was wonderful! We had a great stay! Only side note, we thought the entry to bubble and plastic of bubble could have been cleaner. A good wipe to the plastic would do wonders. Wouldn’t take much to have them thoroughly polished up! Overall, we had a magical stay!!"

"It was nice and clean. Plus food was good."

"False advertising. The hotel online and featured on Expedia is not the hotel you’ll be staying at. That hotel is still under construction. Paid a premium for a special birthday trip for my wife, only to arrive at a hotel that is literally under construction. Spa/sauna (the reason we chose this hotel) nowhere near completed (despite being prominently featured on Expedia). Rooms still being finished. Driveway still being constructed. Industrial fan above our room kept us awake all night. When I...

"We had a lovely stay at Askot Cottages and were sad to leave! The cottage was very cosy and has been very thoughtfully designed. The bed was very comfortable and we loved the gorgeous view from the big window. We were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights twice while we were there! We also appreciated the small touches, with plenty of tea and coffee for our stay, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel provided. There is even a small shop where they have basics you can purchase (cash only). Having...

"Room was large and very clean. Parking is convenient behind the building. Dinner options within walking distance"

"The staff was extremely helpful and kind, there are also multiple useful utilities inside to help travellers who come from or are going camping. Everything is kept clean and we had a great time!"

"This was such a nice accommodation, I checked in relatively late and left early in the morning, but check in was simple and the staff were very nice. The room was clean, shoes come off at the front door and they have slippers you can borrow to walk towards your room. It wound have been nice to stay longer, they offer horseback riding and it’s very scenic where this accommodation is located. The food smelt amazing, but we didn’t put ourselves down for any meals because of the times when we...

"Loved our time here. Clean room, good breakfast, cozy home, excellent country spot for Aurora views, great host. Really missed this spot once we left. Highly recommend."

"This property is somewhat remote for some people, but we LOVED it! Location was central between our destinations. Everything was available and seemed quite new. Has a fridge, dishwasher, fabulous shower, stove, and oven. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. We loved staying here and hope others will choose to do the same!"

"Wir hatten ein Igloo ohne Bad/ Toilette Es ist ein Raum mit 3 Heizgeräten Das Bett hat eine Heizdecke Dadurch das es geregnet hat waren die Scheiben angelaufen und man musste auch die Heizer die ganze Nacht laufen lassen Wir würden es noch mal buchen und die Igloos mit Bad / Toilette probieren Um ein endgültiges Fazit zu ziehen Auf jeden Fall war es eine unruhige Nacht durch die Heizer"

"Need better signage for entry. Was a bit confusing until we drove around the building twice Otherwise a beautiful stay!"

"Some of the walkways were covered in ice which made it difficult to navigate the property. The gym equipment was older and some of it was broken."

"Amazing property, very accommodating and well maintained. Absolutely would stay again!"

"The property was in a great location, which we really appreciated during our first trip to Iceland. Unfortunately, our overall experience was disappointing due to a few maintenance and communication issues. Upon arrival, we discovered an unpleasant odor coming from the dishwasher, which had leftover food inside, and the main bathroom light was not working. We reported both issues, and the host offered to come by to address them. However, since we were visiting Iceland for the first time and...
