"A great one-night stay after disembarking from a cruise. The hotel and room were spotless. The room was huge! There was a full kitchen which sadly we did not have the opportunity to use. Many rooms have balconies and outdoor seating areas. The wifi was excellent, and the TV was smart with loads of viewing options. There is a nice small pool in the central court, and the beach is a 2 minute walk. There is a decent mall with a pharmacy/grocery store that sells just about everything you need. Lots of dining options and beachside bars are nearby. We were able to check in early too. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend for all types of travelers."

"Great overnight stay at Courtyard Marriott Barbados. The hotel was clean, modern, and perfectly comfortable for a short visit. Check-in was smooth, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and the room was quiet—exactly what I needed to recharge. Convenient location and a relaxed atmosphere made this an easy, stress-free stay. It’s my go-to spot in Barbados."

"A DUMP - 30-years past its prime. Rooms and furnishings are worn, damaged and unclean. Staff were all unfriendly save for one valet; bartenders’ attitudes were bordering rude, as if they couldn’t be bothered. One restaurant whose food choices forced us to go offsite. Don’t be fooled by the pictures! "

"This hotel was cute and tucked away in a great location. We only stayed one night. Walking distance to Sandals if you come in a day early. We loved the full kitchenette feature. Comfortable bed. Very welcoming, friendly staff. Convenient restaurant on site. A tad expensive, but the food was delicious and drinks very reasonable. Pool and seating area very small, but beautiful views nonetheless. Actively remodeling some of the units. We would definitely recommend staying here if in the area."

"The place was wonderful. We had a great experience Plenty of onsite amenities-snorkeling, kayaking, and paddle boarding.I only wish their was more seating at the pool- had to get there before 7 to secure a seat"

"My husband and I recently stayed at the Hilton Barbados Resort, and overall, the experience was average at best. The bedroom itself was nice and comfortable, but the bathroom definitely needs updating. The bathtub never appeared fully clean, which made us uncomfortable enough that we chose not to use it during our stay. The beach is truly beautiful—large, spacious, and one of the highlights of the property. However, the service significantly fell short. There was no consistent poolside or beachside service for food or drinks, and staff were rarely visible throughout the day. The pool area also needs attention, as the concrete is visibly cracking, and the hot tub was out of service for the entirety of our stay. Each morning, even as early as 8 AM, there were no towels available for guests at the pool or beach, which was frustrating. As for dining, both Lighthouse Terrace and Beach Bar offered food that was average and did not stand out. Additionally, small details were disappointing—such as the weekend snow cone offering at 2 PM, which we attempted to enjoy, only to find they had already run out of ice. Overall, while the location and beach are beautiful, the service, maintenance, and overall experience did not meet expectations."

"This is a tricky review to write as some things about Sweetfield Manor were very good but others were not. Firstly, the place advertises itself as a 5 star boutique hotel, boutique is correct, 5 star definitely not. The room itself was spotlessly clean and very comfortable with an excellent shower room. However, the first thing that we were told when being shown to the room was that there were two small bottles of water which were complimentary but any further water would have to be bought - surely two small bottles of water a day is not too much to ask for given the price we paid. We ate in the restaurant on two occasions and, although the food was fine, there were many items on the menu that were "not available today". The staff were generally helpful and friendly although the barman on the first evening seemed to find serving us was an inconvenience. The buildings and grounds could certainly do with some major maintenance. It is obviously a heritage building but that doesn't excuse missing and broken spindles on the staircase and the exterior of the building needs refurbishing. The pool was lovely but again, the area around it looked unloved. There was a terrace just outside reception which had tables and parasols but no chairs so could not be used. This place could be really fabulous with some money and effort but I would not stay there again unless there was evidence of a major refurbishment. The peacocks however were fabulous!"
