"The one-bedroomed apartment with sea view we rented was very clean and well furnished. The kitchen was more than adequately equipped and the fan quickly removed any food smells. We loved the location of the apartment. We not only had an exceptional view across the water, but we were also very close to bus stops (and the bus system in Tromsø is very inexpensive and efficient), the downtown area. A large grocery store, small but diverse shopping mall and Ølhallen, Tromsø’s oldest pub and historic...

"Lovely apartment, at a good price. Really good value for money compared to the rest of accommodations in the country. The breakfast was good, the apartment clean and spacious, and located in the city centre. The sound insulation of the apartment could be improved, but the town is quite so after 10-11 pm it was ok. There is no lift but our apartment was on the 2nd floor (GF+1) and it was not a problem. "

Smarthotel Tromso

8/10 Good
"This is a budget hotel. If you want a comfortable bed and a clean bathroom, then it’s for you. If you want space and luxury, then it’s not. We’re the kind of travellers who just need a bed , a bathroom and a good breakfast (if possible), so the Smarthotel suited us very well. The buffet breakfast offered plenty of choice and was good value and the property was centrally located, and convenient for many of the sites, bars, restaurants and also buses. There was a spacious lounge on the ground floor where residents could sit, read, play games and eat The only real downside was the room reminded me a bit of a student hall room, with the bed against one wall and a desk on the other."

"This is a very modern hotel. The rooms are very well laid out. Breakfast was over the top fantastic. I couldn’t even believe that it was included with our room. Excellent location very close to the harbor. Walking distance to the main street Tromso. The view from the rooftop is fantastic and when you check in if you can get them to place you on the higher floors, you’ll have some beautiful views of the harbor area. Bottom line I would stay at this hotel again."

"No parking or bag/guest drop off spot, room overly warm with only able to slightly open the window on 5th floor. Self-checkin was quick and directions to make your key card self-explanatory, food/drink counter has service person that was helpful. "Great location in the town center close to the airport bus stop. Breakfast was one of the best we have had in our travels. Only downside was the amenities, as there was only one sort of shampoo/hand wash/ body wash in the bathroom, and there was no coffee machine in the room. But such small issues were not enough to lower our 5 star review:)!"
