"We finally found a hotel in Switzerland with air conditioning...it was very much needed after a long day of hiking. All of the staff we had contact with were exceptionally friendly. The hotel is very well located in a lovely pedestrian only part of town surrounded by great restaurants, easy walk from the train station. We loved the view from our balcony. The honesty bar was an added bonus and breakfast was the best we had in Switzerland. I would go out of my way to stay in this hotel again."

"I'll start this review by saying that this hotel gets a lot of things right, and I would stay here again. It's a self-check-in hotel so there wasn't really any staff interaction but that was fine. There were a few things around the edges that would have made the experience a little better... the floor in my room could have been swept a little better, the bed and pillow could have been a little firmer, a few more veg/vegan options for breakfast. But if you're looking for a good hotel walking distance from the train at a fair rate, definitely consider this one."

"We had a lovely stay in Brig. The hotel is in a fantastic location, perfect for exploring the historic sights on foot, with plenty of great restaurants nearby. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, especially towards our little dog, which we really appreciated. We had a rooftop room with a balcony, which was a real highlight and gave us wonderful views over Brig and the surrounding mountains. Breakfast was very nice with a good selection, and overall the hotel was a great choice for our stay. We would happily recommend it."

"I booked this place last minute as a solo female traveler. Right next to the ausserberg train and bus station. No social life. If you love solitude or need a place go crash for couple of nights. This is it!!! Or you are looking to hike at kandesteg( 25 mins away) It’s a great place to stay. Very clean!! NOTE - no elevator/ lift be prepared to lift your luggage"

"Old rustic charming hotel with breakfast lounge …..good value for money and clean room. We came in summer with ongoing heatwave so the rooms were warm/hot but hotel had provided fan when we arrived which was thoughtful of them Hotels /apartment in Switzerland generally don’t have AC but the staff was polite and helpful Recommend this hotel and it is located close to Brig station so can be noisy earlier in the morning"
