"A charming spot well located for the seaside town of St Vaast, and only 25 minutes from the Cherbourg ferry. A warm welcome from the hosts. Plentiful breakfast which can be taken outside. Spotlessly clean, very peaceful even though on a main road (hardly any traffic in the evening) Lovely gardens to sit in or even have a takeaway supper. Good value. Would definitely return."

"Friendly lady, great location, large rooms but very dated. Bathroom no shower and very elderly suite remembered from visits over 20 years ago!! Grout on walls and floor had mould on them. No WiFi as advertised and apparently no one had a password! TV failed to work for one day. Breakfast (13 euro) ok "

"Matthew (spelled diff in France) was an excellent host and was quick with any questions we had about the area. We have no complaints at all! The breakfast is what we expected, room cleaned each day. One block from the marina and restaurant choices. my wife's only complaint was the French eat dinner so late! D-day festivities were close enough for a quick drive down country roads. Love the area. Will definitely stay again! "

"The house was really easy to find and is in a great location, within easy distance of three Boulangeries and supermarkets and also a short walk to the harbour. Being winter, we didn't make much use of the garden (which Im sure is lovely in summer) and the conservatory was cold so we didn't use it. The house was warm which was great, and the fire works but we did have to buy our own wood. The toilet upstairs is very small and various members found they could not use it at all as they did not fit in the space (tall members of the family)!The living room could be improved by providing some comfortable seating. The cutlery was old and well used. The main issue we had was the faulty shower. We received a note upon arrival that the overhead shower had broken and that parts were needed to repair it. The owners said they would come to fix it during the week but this did not happen. We used the shower attachment however this squirted a jet of water straight at you and was difficult to manage. We were told after booking that we had to pay for sheets (45 Euros) and could opt to pay a cleaning fee of 50 Euros. This information was not available prior to booking. It would have improved transparency to know this in advance as it may have affected my decision to book the property. I was under the impression that bedding was included and it was only after booking that charges were applied. Despite the lovely location, I would not book this property again. "
