Now, unless you're Liam Neeson and have 'a particular set of skills', capturing birds in flight is a task and a half for amateur photographers such as myself! However I was quite proud of this shot, especially the detail on the underside of the wings. Obviously this is a bird of prey, but I am unsure as to what it is exactly. I am hoping that the ornithologists out there may be able to help me.

The Lilac Breasted Roller Possibly one of the best photos I've taken. There is such a huge variety of different species of birds living in South Africa, but the lilac breasted roller has to be one of the most beautiful. Shot on my birthday at Thornybush Game Reserve in Hoedspruit. #colorful
This is an absolute gem of a shot; Caracals are one of the rarest animals to see in the wild. This is a shot of a mother caracal bringing home a kill to share with her young kitten. The kitten came out when the mother called it and the joy and incredulity of our guide's was all the verification I needed to signify that this was maybe a once in a lifetime event. I may have exaggerated it a bit, but it was such a special moment!
