Top Sudeley Castle Hotel Reviews

Old Laundry - a sudeley castle cottage that sleeps 12 guests in 6 bedrooms

Old Laundry - a sudeley castle cottage that sleeps 12 guests in 6 bedrooms

10/10 Excellent
"The Old Laundry is a fantastic house, with large, elegant rooms and is well furnished. There was plenty of room and circulation space and a lovely garden and hot tub. As stated in the details, there is an easy walk to Winchcombe. The bedding and towels were of great quality and there were extra towels for the hot tub. The kitchen was well equipped and had dishwasher tabs, washing up liquid, cloths and a very nice welcome pack. Unfortunately, only one of the double ovens worked and the other seemed not to reach the required temperature, which impacted on the private chef we had, and on our own cooking. We did not report this when we were there. The minor incovenience of no firewood being provided was resolved within 30 minutes with a generous supply. Two bathrooms had a few pieces of black hair on the floor, but the porcelain etc was spotless. We'd be very happy to use a Bolthole Retreats propery again."

Charming Barn Cottage in the Cotswolds. Sleeps 6 with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms

"Our stay was great! The cottage is a bit difficult to find. GPS can’t find it without a house number. We hired a driver to and from the airport and neither driver found it right away. If there were some way to identify it, it would be helpful. Unfortunately I have no suggestions as to what that would be. Maybe we should have told the return driver it was just past cowl lane (and the florists van!). The van was always parked in the same spot. But the drivers found it pretty quickly. We were pleased with our lodging."

A sudeley castle cottage that sleeps 6 guests in 2 bedrooms

10/10 Excellent
"We were a group of two couples that stayed in the Queens Cottage while traveling through the Cotswolds in September. The location of this cottage was ideal for visiting Sudeley Castle and meeting up with friends who were staying in nearby Broadway. The cottage itself was quite comfortable for a group of (4) adults, but you should know that there is only one shower located upstairs where the bedrooms are. The second bathroom is located downstairs (next to the kitche) and has a bathtub...not a shower. We were prepared for this arrangement...but it might be a surprise to some guests. The kitchen is very well appointed with everything you need for a short stay...there were even some biscuits and milk (in the fridge) to have with our afternoon tea! Having been on the road for a week, we much appreciate the washer/dryer unit as well, but there was evidence of past water damage (on the wall next to the machine) that needs repairing. The village atmosphere of the surrounding buildings was lovely and peaceful, and there is ample parking available, too. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for unique accommodations in the Cotswolds at a reasonable price."

"This property is in a brilliant location for Winchcombe. The town's facilities are a short walk away and there are loads of walks you can do from there. The house is perfect for 10 adults with a large dining table and comfortable lounge. The pool table was a great feature and many games were played. The garden was very pretty. We had a wonderful time in a great lication"

Badgerwood - sleeps 12 guests in 6 bedrooms

"Badgerwood was a perfect choice for our family get together. Plenty of space inside and out and very well equipped for our large group meals. Beautifully decorated and super comfortable. We were fortunate to be blessed with lovely weather for October so were able to enjoy the hot tub and the wonderful views. Great walks from the house across the fields suited the two dogs and everyone was able to appreciate the free passes to Sudeley Castle, especially the youngest of the family who loved the adventure playground. Definitely one to put down for a repeat visit !"
