Have you experienced a 24 hour day? Hovden, on the island of Bø in Norway, is one of the places folks head to to watch the sun descend, arc against the horizon, and climb back up the other side. There are no mountains to mask the midnight sun, just open ocean. I cycled there with a couple of new friends this past summer. It was chilly, but we found ourselves taking off our shoes, increasing the sense of connection with the ground bellow us as we watched the sky above swing past.
