The great thing about visiting Northern Norway during the summer months is that you can experience the Midnight Sun. In Stokmarknes in July, the sun didn't "set" until midnight, and even then didn't fully dip below the horizon.

I caught this shot of the cabins at the Vesteralen Kysthotell during "golden hour," which really lasted way longer than an hour.
If not for the lingering snow on the mountains, I could probably convince you that this photo was taken in the Caribbean! (Right?) But it wasn't - it was taken just outside of Stokmarknes in Norway's Vesteralen Islands!

To get this shot, take the first turn to the left after you cross the Hadsel Bridge (it's the first of two bridges that you'll cross on the way into Stokmarknes). There's a parking lot there with this beautiful view!
