"Absolutely wonderful stay for a short stay. The only fault were the pillows…felt like sleeping on a cement bag but that’s a personal preference ."

"Excellent facilities. Very spacious. Very helpful and personable owners."

"Oddly enough my favourite thing about this hotel was the carpet in my room which was very thick and a delight to walk on. However there are many other plus points about this hotel. The location is excellent, next to the bus and train stations and the historic dockyard and with lots of places to eat within a couple of minutes walk. The staff are very helpful. "Had a lovely 1 night break with family, the staff were so accommodating to our needs. Amazing buffet breakfast & good carparking facilities"

"Well it was weird, felt like I was the only one in the hotel... No one at desk when I arrived, had to message on the expedia website to have someone come over to get my key... Saw no one the rest of my Time there. Weird... But clean and it did the job."

"For the price we got good value for our money"

"This was the second time I’ve stayed at Florence Gardens, and it’s proved to be as exceptional as I found it on my first visit. The rooms are extremely comfortable and warm, the staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly, and I won’t hesitate to stay there again on my next visit to Portsmouth."

"Lovely position and view. Wonderful breakfast."

"Good stay as always"

"For those planning to visit the dockyard, you can't get any better. We had a great view of HMS Warrior from our window. The hotel is directly across the street from the rail station and the bus station and about 100 yards from the main entrance to the dockyard. The owner was very nice and accommodating. The room was very modern and well kept."

"I would definitely recommend and stay here again Paying to park was perfectly acceptable but as I’m not too good at small print would have preferred it as optional directly when booking All features and amenities were well thought and and bed super comfy"
