"Breakfast and evening meal very good but hotel in desparate need of refurb. Paid extra for sea view but wind blowing gutters so loud we had to change rooms. Moved to similar room but so dated, so worn out, so sad. Not good value at all."

"Room was very clean, spacious and warm, staff very friendly especially Callum, only stayed room only but asked about 4pm if I could book for dinner which they did and it was plentiful and really good, location was great right on sea front and the price was great stayed for 3 nights and slept well."

"Lovely hotel and extremely clean. We were in the club house room which is in a separate building from the main hotel. The room was very clean and modern. My only complaint was there were 2 small bottles of water put out for us like most hotels do but they were half full and the seals were broken so were not new. Also they provide fresh milk in a fridge in the reception area which is really nice but the one I had which was well in date was sour so I think the fridge was not cold enough. Also the ice machine was not working. I did mention this to the reception and it was all rectified immediately. Also the hand wash and shower gel bottles in our room were empty but I brought my own so that was fine. I would suggest that housekeeping do a more thorough check on these things in the future as it is little things like this that can let a lovely hotel like this down. We had an evening meal and breakfast and both were delicious and excellent staff. Although we had a few small problems we would definitely stay here again as the standard is very high. "

"Our stay was fabulous. Its an amazing place with amazing staff and food. Beds and rooms we're immaculate. The only thing that stopped me from giving it a 5 star was the dogs barking late at night. Don't know of they were inside or out or both but it was on going for quite a while. Will be back though "

"Was extremely amazed by the building beautifull inside well done out. Pool was very nice good sauna and steamroom. However i was disappointed with breakfast. I love a buffet breakfast but it was described on expedia as a "free breakfast" not "breakfast included" the difference was a extremely limited one table continental breakfast and a menue order for a cooked breakfast. Further disappointed by the size one extremely small sausage 2 bacon tiny tiny cup of baked beans with eg ect, not a cumbria breakfast i was hoping for. The room was beautiful cant pont any problems apart from been very load and was next to courtyard and could here staff through out the night. I would stay again however i will be expecting a small free breakfast and will be changing to another room."
