Liked the hotel main reception area and swimming pool area .. Rooms were good .. bed was good.. however the bathroom was odd … The bathroom locking system was strange and the shower experience could be enhanced .. But overall a decent experience and no red flags.. I would stay again

I stayed 2 nights from sept 26 to Sept 28, all was good, then I came back on the 4th of October to 6th, there was no hot water in shower, I was moved across the hall which was very kind, but that room, the water was only slightly over lukewarm, I kept the room as I would check out next day.

I regularly stay at this property and have always appreciated the attention of the staff, particularly maintenance staff, as although most rooms have been updated, the building was built in the 70s so there are often issues with heating and cooling on higher floors. This was a five night stay and I always have multi-night stays here. The restaurant is excellent and the bar area relaxing. The gym is okay but the equipment always seems to need some patience as it is "well used". During this stay however, I found the front desk check in process a bit dismissive when I did report an issue with the temperature of my assigned room. This seemed uncharacteristic to my previous stays. Luckily the maintenance staff was right there and came up with me and identified the issue and solution. That said, it did take a couple of hours for the room to cool down to a comfortable temperature. Also, previously I received a perk of a free breakfast per night. This was good until 10:00 in the morning and you could order off the restaurant menu. It was a fabulous perk. Now they have amended this to a continental breakfast that is available until 9:30 am. I visited it my first morning and was incredibly disappointed as the area was understaffed for the number of people that received these coupons and although there were hot options, what was available as a whole was quite limited. The area was noisy and busy and many trays were almost empty. I came home with the unused breakfast coupons.
