As a Hyatt property the level of cleanliness and service is expected. The staff at Secrets La Romana makes this place superb with the most notable mention to Peruvian Chef Leonardo Lopez leading Mare restaurant ( seafood specialties ) that truly makes this hotel the best bang for your buck that you can get in Bayahibe. Chef Lopez culinary expertise and personalized service was outstanding. A 100% recommendation for this Hotel.

The room was dated but nice, all the staff was helpful and friendly, pools looked great and fun, beach was beautiful but short! I would have liked to see staff clean up previously occupied areas at the beach. Food in the buffet was very good. We got to try a couple of restaurants and they were decent. The grounds are beautiful and the fitness center was nice with lots of equipment!

Not a lot of options on Secrets side as it was Dreams. Appreciate being able to use both resorts. Beach & pools close early, and did not like having to reserve the cabana beds, it should be available for everyone to use while on the beach. Loved the Circus & Michael Jackson event. We had a situation with 2 staff members who made us feel ridiculed because we didn’t speak Spanish. The rest of the staff was very accommodating. The property was very clean and the food was very good. Appreciated the cool towels upon arriving & check out. Liked that the hotel called a taxi on our behalf when checking out. Very beautiful resort. The landscaping was gorgeous and nicely shaded where possible. Enjoyed all the water bottles they stocked in the room along with snacks. Appreciate having an iron in the room. The bars were very nice but not everyone knew how to make certain drinks. We were there for our anniversary and we advised the staff upon checking in but we had to ask for our own happy anniversary banner across the door. No one put it there pro-actively on our big day, so that was disappointing.
