Germana was great communicating with us, providing all property details and answering all our questions. Germana also helped us setting up the transfer to the airport. The property is clean, cozy and has amazing location..we walked everywhere and didnt need to use public transport!!!
Germana provided excellent tips on local eateries and attractions in the welcome booklet which was very helpful . Our communication with her was seamless the entire stay, with being responsive and considerate, ensuring our stay was comfortable from start to finish. We loved the vintage charm of this place literally in the heart of St. Peter’s Basilica. She has done an incredible job preserving its character while offering modern conveniences.
The property is located on a side street less than 3 minutes walk to St Peters Basillica.. loaded with affordable restaurants, sandwich shops, coffee houses and shopping places... Steeped with tradition.. and helpful people! tsecond floor
We had a great time in Rome and we were very satisfied and comfortable in the appartment. We enjoyed the location, close to Vatican city and other great sites in Rome. We had beautiful music from street performers, lots of restaurants and geleterias nearby. Everyone in neighbourhood were very nice and friendly. All was great with the Vrbo rental and host Germana was great to deal with. She was very helpful and answered all of our questions. Thank you for making our stay in Rome enjoyable and great. We strongly recommend this appartment.
Great, great spot with easy access to most of Rome's tourist locations!
What a great place to stay! The apartment was very large and the window opened to the courtyard below that was full of life during the day. It was quiet at night. The street in front of the condo is pedestrian only so there was no traffic noises to be concerned with. 0.25 miles to the Vatican, easy walk to Trevi fountain and the Colosseum and PLENTY of delicious restaurants and gelato places within a 3 minute walk from the front door. The host was terrifica and always got back to us within 5 minutes with questions. I would highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Rome! We will look to book here again when we return!
Fraudulent. The picture of the building with the green ivy growing in the advertising photo is actually across the street from the actual red door entrance to 35 Borgo Pio. The main door was locked and no key was provided so I contacted the manager and someone came to let us in after we had been dropped off a block from the building. The room was clean but hot. We had to figure out how the AC worked by ourselves. The tub / shower handle was hanging in the tub unstable. The sink in the bath was stopped up. One glass in the kitchen, and one chair in bed area. The TV did not work.
The flight over we did not have access to WiFi so we could not contact VRBO for checking in and the driver bringing us to the apt dropped us off a block away from 35 Borgo Pio. Very Very disappointing!!
First, the good. The apartment is awesome! It's located in a beautiful old building on a pedestrian-only street. There are many restaurants and stores in the area and good access to public transportation. We got around using mostly buses and the metro. I can't say enough good things about the space. I would love to stay here again, if I didn't have to deal with Germana
Now, the bad. At first, interactions were great -- friendly timely information and reminders. I read literally every word of everything she sent me. When our trip got close, I was told to submit information to Vikey and pay the city tax to get the virtual key to open the front door. I did that and even got an email confirmation that I had paid. No virtual key. At check-in time, still no virtual key. I messaged Germana. I had gotten no sleep on the plane, it was our first day in Rome, and my phone battery was almost dead. I was stressed. After multiple messages, she opened the door virtually herself, without telling me. It was luck that I heard noise in the door and opened it. Once inside, I worried about how to get inside again, forgetting that there was actually a physical key for our use. I asked her about it many times and all she would say is YOU HAVE A KEY! and getting ruder and ruder and asking me to STOP MESSAGING HER. I understood her to mean a virtual key and she never reminded me that it was a physical key. I did read all she sent me but forgot that 1 tiny bit of info. That was our welcome to Rome
Loved the location! Great communication with host who also helped us arrange airport and cruise port transportation. Apartment was clean and quiet. Many restaurants, sites, & shops near by. Only negative was the shower was a bit small & awkward.
The property was beautiful and well maintained. Check in was a breeze (after I checked the time). The neighborhood is beautiful and lively, minutes from St. Peter’s Basillica with easy access to taxis if visiting other attractions. An experience perfetto!
Location was perfect. Plenty resteraunts and cafes on the street. Wonderful neighborhood. Kind of central to a few destinations such as the coliseum and Vatican. We didn’t mind walking though. Host was quick to respond when needed and set up transportation to and from the airport.
Excellent location, Pretty clean and safe.
No microwave, broken toaster, narrow unsafe tub and wobley Shower head, Un communicative host(ess).
In summery, we were not comfortable or happy to stay. would not recommend to anyone.
Location and propery is very good. kitchen and Bath should be renovated/Equiped better.
FRIENDLY APPROACH from OWNER welcome!!
VRBO was excellent in dealing and the whole experience. vrbo property in venice was excellent-thanks
Location, location, location! This apartment is a short walk to the Vatican and is on a walking only street lined with shops and restaurants. The room was a perfect location for our daily trips and sightseeing. The bathtub is extremly narrow, taking a bath would be a problem and it was a bit small for my 6'2" husband. The shower was sufficient, the water heater it working perfectly. Everything was very good. NOTE: make sure your phone works as it is how all communicate. You can get a sim card in the airport by the luggage carousel very easy. I would stay here again.
A perfect location from which to visit the Vatican!
My wife and I had a terrific stay in Germana and Sarah's 1st-floor apartment (above street level, up only one flight of stairs). Special thanks to Sarah who waited for us since we arrived quite late on check-in evening. This apartment's location, just outside the ancient city wall, is ideal for visiting the Vatican and Castel Sant'Angelo - a 10-minute walk in either direction. The pedestrian-only street on which the apartment is located is in an active neighborhood with many restaurants (lots of good food), gelato shops, and a city-supplied (always running) drinking water fountain (very safe) just across from the apartment. The apartment was furnished quite nicely and stocked with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay even though the bathtub is a wee-bit narrow!
LOVED this place. The location was PERFECT. I was a solo traveler and I could not have asked for a better location. The street was lively. The street had great lighting without being a problem inside the apartment. I felt safe at all times!
There was a water fountain was across from apartment- you could refill your water bottles.
The apartment was cute. It had a washer that really helped and a drying rack in the tub. The bathroom was nice. The tub was very very narrow. LOL You had to turn sideways.
BUT I would stay here again and HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend it!

The place is very nice, Monica was an excellent host, everything was good, except the bath tub, it's too small and the hot water runs out after 5 minutes. I started to shower with hot water and rinse with super cold water
