"Met on arrival, shown the code to enter the property. Lovely airy en-suite room. Minibar fridge was useful for my own purchases. Coffee shop (901 cafe) on the same street only €2.50 for cappuccino and pastry. A got the Alibus from the airport to the Stesicoro stop on Via Etnea. Same stop returning to airport. "Il Principe is one of the best located hotels in Catania, close to all the main sights and easy walking distance to Square, Monastery, Fish Market etc. The Staff were exceptionally helpful . The reception area's, and Breakfast room had plenty of space and nicely decorated with marble. 2 person lift to all floors. The hotel had somewhere for the luggage on our last day. There was alway someone on reception. The area was quiet and felt safe. Breakfast had a good variety, hot scrambled eggs or boiled, bacon, mushrooms. Cold ham and cheese, yogurts, cereals, croissants. Fruit juice and coffee. The room was a good size and double aspect. Our room had a shower, which was adequate but could have done with updating. Bed was large but a little firmer than we are used to. Towels, hairdryer etc provided. Air conditioning was excellent. Unfortunately there was no kettle or coffee maker in the room, although there was a fridge and safe. I don't think we could have got a hotel that was in a better spot, ideal to pop back to in the day for a rest."
