"The house was perfect for our family. We had everything we needed in the kitchen for big meals There was plenty of entertainment for kids & teenagers. We definitely plan to return when possible "

"None of us old people used the pool or actually got into the sea, but we walked the beach daily. The ocean view was spectacular and many of us got up each morning to view sunrise. The kitchen layout worked well for us, with a good selection of pots & pans, and plenty of dishes and silverware (only ten of us attended) and nice that we all fit at the table together. Mostly we all hung out together on the third floor, worked jigsaw puzzles when not on the beach or gone fishing."

"Our family had a fabulous time at Jay’s rental. We enjoyed our family time together and all the space this house had to offer! The elevator was a life saver. The fishing was great and morning coffee on the decks was relaxing. Off season in OBX is the best!"

"We arrived a little early and contacted Steve via VIRBO and he informed us that the property had been cleaned and allowed us to start our vacation before check in time. This is huge if you have two young kids who have been in the car for a long trip. One of the hot tub deck steps came loose and he had it fixed the next morning. I would say reviews of the house from previous guests were accurate and if you’re looking for a quiet beach house, this is a good one. There are great ocean views on most of the deck. The pool was pretty private and provided a nice spot for everyone to hang out. There were three adults and two children on our trip and we felt that we had plenty of room. If I’m ever back in Rodanthe, I would book this house again. "

"It was a beautiful home and location, literally a few steps from the water and perfect ocean views. A few issues with the doors but that is to be expected and it was handled immediately. overall, best place that I've stayed in 40 years just because we were right on the water. Very relaxing!"
