"Location: Although not in the middle of the main action, a location with hidden gems throughout Stock Island (The Docks, Hurricane Hole, Cayo Hueso Brewery, Hogfish Bar, etc.). Amenities: The hotel shuttle is convenient and easy to use. The pool is great. The bar/lounge is fun. The concierge is genuinely working to ensure you have an amazing experience. Rooms: Big, cold, clean, and quality bedding/furniture. Try to avoid the first floor, where families group up with adjoining rooms (or ask for those if you need them). Restaurants: All great, tasty, and quality items that’ll leave you coming back for more. Staff: Helpful, friendly, and happy to be there."

"The suite we stayed at was very comfortable and roomy for 5 people, and we stayed at the property for 5 days/4 nights. The property was really nice, the bedroom spacious, the kitchen well stocked with pots/pans, plates, utensils, etc complete with dishwasher and washer/dryer. The 3-season porch could have been cleaner - floors were sticky and the couches/seats were infested with some bugs that bit and left you with itchy welts like mosquito bites. There is a very nice (though small) patch of beach clear of the algae affecting a lot of Florida but it is small space, just big enough for our family of 5; any other visitors that would want to share the space feels like intrusion to our privacy. The pool was ok, and the tiki bar in the property was nice. The concierge Marie was very helpful in getting us what we need to make our vacation fun. We didn’t get a vehicle when we were there as a friend told us it’s hard to park but I wish we did- the property is far from downtown duval, and far enough away fr Publix, though Ubers were fast to come by. We biked to duval st, as they have bike lane on their road, but once u get to downtown you have to bike on the road - I don’t recommend it / the drivers were impatient and aggressive- some driver honked angrily at us."

"Couldn't ask for a better stay! It's not the newest most modern resort but it is very clean and well taken care of and the theming is awesome. I have to say that the rooms are on the smaller side and the layout of the buildings lend themselves to having some rooms that do not have views at all or are tucked away in dark hallways however, we got lucky and stayed in a room which was away from it all. Room 243 we had view of the Bay and were just steps away from Publix. The rooms by the pool aren't that great. Ask for a room on the second floor on the right side of the building. The food from trucks was your typical bar food with some cuban flare (wings, burgers, some sandwiches). Breakfast was eh, they stop doing breakfast 10:30. There is a Starbucks, McDonalds, Dunkin Wendys and PUBLIX with walking distance.. The free shuttles were awesome and really saved us a lot of money. This a family and pet friendly resort so get ready for children and dogs. "New Town" is away from the smelly sargassum which was a huge plus. All in all we loved it here."

"We had a wonderful stay! The room was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with any questions we had. The outdoor pool was clean and a great place to relax after a day of exploring. Parking was convenient and easy, which made our trip even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to other travelers."

" Had a small but annoying incident at check in. I made the reservation in my sisters name on Expedia [ and I had to pay in full which I found unusual, I made the payment] but she was unable to travel, The clerk would not check me in until Expedia said OK, luuckily we ironed it out"
