"The room facilities were a bit disappointing. The TV remote control did not respond properly, some of the letters on the buttons had worn off, and the remote itself was quite dirty, so I did not feel comfortable touching it.

The bidet toilet seat was also switched off, so I could not use it on the first day.
Overall, I felt that the room facilities were not properly checked before my arrival."
"Staying at this hotel was a last minute thing due to a mix up at our original booking and I have to say it was a godsend! We arrived 45 minutes after booking and were welcomed by friendly staff and a very clean room. The location was great and we went on a bike ride around the very quaint village and down by the river. I would definitely stay here again as it’s a great village hotel with great staff."
"Friendly staff including one who formerly and by sheer coincidence worked at the good old boarding school I proudly attended years ago. Overall, I’m extremely impressed with everything including the high standards location and amenities. Cleanliness were very good apart from some surfaces needed a little dusting and one of the bedroom lamps didn’t work though again, overall the standards are extremely high and I’d certainly recommend future guests and I’d certainly return."
