Loved the crazy river, and all the activities by the pool and at night. Restaurants were great! We enjoyed the stakehouse and the food at Sakura. The beach near the sea was rocky so bring water shoes and unfortunately we got seaweeds during the week we stayed there (not the hotel's fault though, they have mechanical shovels to clean that up but it was a lot to handle)

I really enjoyed the hotel, the staff were nice, the property was well maintained and clean. Only thing is that the pools close at 6:30pm, and you can’t go for a swim at your own risk after this.

I was really enjoying my 60th b-day @ the Resort! We really enjoyed a big variety of delicious food. Our butler Jose Miguel Jimenez was extremely attentive, informative and caring. He booked all our dinners in a diverse restaurants and provided daily update about all activities @ the resort. The pool area was clean and enjoyable. I recommend drinks in the Main Lobby, all of them very tasty.

The resort was unexpectedly great! I thought it would be just an okay resort but this place was super clean. I went with my husband and 3year old son and we had a blast. Entertainment was also great, everyday always has something to do. I definitely appreciate how the place was clean, we had no problems with mosquitoes because it was well maintained. Food was not so bad. Coffee was amazing. The privilege restaurants were surprisingly good! Breakfast, lunch and dinner. I would recommend everyone with there kids and family groups to go here.

Great stay for families. Upon checking in we were given the wrong reservation. On day 3 our bracelet fobs became inactive, which resulted is in having to walk all the way back to the service desk to get them reactivated. Staff wasn’t very helpful. Not a very good stay. Check out was much simpler.

Love how clean this resort is maintained; however, I think the pool needs some maintenance (main pool) the overall experience was great. Food was awesome, the Mexican restaurant was our favorite. Great quality and the staff was lovely! We enjoyed all the amenities. Mikes coffee shop was our “chill” spot and the ladies were great. This is our 5th time in punta Cana and I can tell that this is the resort where the entertainment team was literally lost. The only activity at the pool was the aerobics at the pool and the foam party (once)… I think they should come up with more way to entertain specially at night time. They only had two shows during the week we stayed. The rock show was awesome, I wish they were more. Overall, it was a nice resort to spend a week at and relax.

The best part about the trip was the suite we had with the swim up pool. Food was edible, nothing to write home about. Check-in was a nightmare and the line took over two hours after traveling all day for 9+. Staff was pushy to join their membership club. Others pools were very crowded so luckily we had a private pool. Air conditioning made the walls rattle. ‘Free mini bar’ in room was two beers and three sodas with no refill. Very expensive for what we got.

We had an excellent stay overall. The resort itself is beautiful, the food was great, and the atmosphere was relaxing from start to finish. What truly made the experience stand out was the staff — every employee we interacted with was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Their service and attitude made us feel valued throughout our stay. The only downside was the room smell. Housekeeping clearly kept the room very clean, but there was still a persistent musty/humidy odor that never completely went away. It did not ruin the trip, but it was noticeable enough to mention. Despite that issue, we still had a wonderful experience and would definitely return again soon.

The majority of the staff were nice, food was good, the rooms needed maintenance, we stayed 2 days without A/C, and because I was persistent they changed the room otherwise they were always “fixing the problem” without outcome. The resort was beautiful and we enjoyed our stay and the amenities it had to offer. We especially want to thank Hector Matos for making our stay at the resort absolutely exceptional. From the moment we arrived, he was attentive, professional, and always one step ahead of anything we needed. He checked in with us throughout the day, made sure every detail was taken care of, and truly made us feel welcomed and valued. One of the things we appreciated most was how effortlessly Hector coordinated specialty restaurant reservations for us every night of our stay. Even when restaurants were busy, he somehow made it happen and ensured we had amazing dining experiences each evening without any stress on our part. His communication, kindness, and dedication to excellent service really stood out. Hector went above and beyond to make our vacation relaxing and memorable. We are so grateful for everything he did and would absolutely recommend requesting him when you visit this resort.

We traveled as a family with a 5 year old and found the staff and resort to be adequate for our needs. The staff was always helpful and we appreciated our butler, Jose who we did not request much from but he was always quick to respond and provide assistance when it was needed. We chose this resort for its amenities with the kid’s waterpark and lots of options to eat/play. We like to leave the resort about half the time we travel anywhere to explore so this facility allowed us to be able to move about easily and return to a clean room to rest. The beach is just fine in my opinion. People report rockiness but yes there are some rocks, it’s not something that should be a deterrent. We swam in the ocean just fine. We utilized the buffet most of the time as with a young child we need the option to eat whenever hunger strikes. The food was great and a huge thank you to the man making pizza in the evening because he was always going out of his was to make my daughter her pepperoni pizza. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and we enjoyed our time!

The beach had more seaweed than sand, the buffet had the SAME food every single day. Like to the point that whatever was for lunch was so popular that it was also there for you at dinner. If you were lucky enough to get a cup of water at your table at the buffet then you were definitely were not getting a refill. If i could rate the food and staff at this resort out of 5 i would give -1. And also on the side note, if you don't like sitting in 99 degrees with everyone else than i suggest upgrading to privilege status because thats exactly what it felt like walking past the only spot on the special seating area they got that was the only place with air conditioning. First time ever at a resort where they took my luggage in a golf cart and brought it to my room 45 minutes later and i had to walk across the hotel to find my own room because the transport never came.

1. My family and I were checked in on daily by Hector Matos who did a fantastic job with answering questions, giving directions, being available, making reservations. Extremely professional and helpful. 2. The pool was great, 4ft, warm water, activities and plenty of pool chairs. 3. Games were good, bowling was fun, free, VR ranged from $10-$25 my child loved it. 4. Room was the junior garden view with balcony double beds, nice but humid and very cold we could not figure out how to turn the air off especially at night, loved the bathroom. 5. Beach although beautiful had a lot of seaweed along the water line and rough waves, we did not go in. 6. Buffet was good a lot of choices, Restaurants- Sakura, Japanese was excellent, Dolce Vita, Italian was great, Steakhouse, was really good, must make reservations. 7. I gave the staff 4 stars because the lifeguards had attitudes and the initial concierge who checked my family and I in was rude, along with the buffet housekeeper who took my plate and dumped it before I was finished eating. 8. Overall the property was clean and well kept. 9. I would return and recommend for families as well 10. People are allowed to smoke on the property and I even saw a man smoking in the pool, but what can one do.

We really enjoyed our family stay at Ocean el Faro, two adults and two kids 11 and 15. Pools were beautiful, food offered something for everyone - we enjoyed the italian and steak restaurants a lot - GREAT value and lovely experience. The only downside was the sargazo season at the beach that really made the beach not enjoyable for the time we were there. Apart from that everything was perfect. Since we could not enjoy the hotel beach we did go on a couple of excursions which were a nice change of pace and reasonably priced for the value. Hotel reception staff was actually very fair and helpful for recommending. Facilities are very well maintained, loved the lazy river, gym, and sports bar.
