"This place is so cozy with the fireplace in our room. We loved walking across the street to the beach. Along the way, deer and wild turkeys were walking around and you could hear the waves all the way in our upstairs suite. The staff were very welcoming and little Mike too! They were gracious with “grab and go” treats daily. We will definitely come back when we visit Northern California again!"

"Clean room well sized"

"A charming hotel with beautiful Victorian architecture and timeless character. The architectural details create a warm and elegant atmosphere, making it a lovely place to stay with family. The breakfast was delicious and a wonderful addition to our stay. A great experience in Monterey, combining historic charm, comfort, and hospitality."

"Everything was GREAT! The room was lovely, spotlessly clean. The staff were great and very helpful. Breakfast was served right on time and delicious. Loved the view. We 100% recommend the Monterey Bay Inn."

"Only complaint is very low water pressure in the shower. very upscale nice hotel. Keep that in mind."

"Susie at the front desk was super efficient, my only suggestion would be to swap out the Folgers coffee with something a bit stronger and a small bite of anything ( Costco Madeline or half a muffin maybe ) would go a long ways to making this a perfect stay."

"The room did not have a tv, a/c or a fridge. Kinda normal amenities for 2026. The room was very expensive to Lack these basic comforts. The included breakfast had 2 options. We asked for extra bacon and the waitress seemed confused. The pool table was ripped and the cues had no tips. The view was great but we had to look between 2 buildings to see the ocean. The pictures in the ad were very misleading."
