We stayed in Guiones, within a few minutes walk to the beach. With our rental car, we were close to several beaches, each with their own distinct character. Playa Guiones is popular with surfers.

Abandoned?

In the midst of a lengthy remodeling?

Inhabited by a pack of feral dogs?

The answer is...yes.

The doors and windows are all wide open to the elements. The inside seems mostly empty. There is a relatively recent coast of paint on the exterior based upon some other photos I found online.

There were a handful of people doing construction on dinner of the out buildings. When I got too close to the main building they warned me of the dogs inside.

Bizarre architecture for the area and no tall clear story on its history.
