"Checked in and found a staff member (not housekeeping) casually chatting on the phone inside our room. Startled us, not what you expect walking into your own room. Also the room was very far from the check in desk, and no elevators, no stairs, had to carry a heavy luggage upstairs, and was very inconvenient to walk all the way down every time. For the price point, the basics were lacking. No complimentary water bottles, we were told to purchase them. The room and facilities were okay, nothing bad, but nothing that justified the rate either. Overall: not terrible, but underwhelming for what you're paying. Expected more from a hotel at this price. "

"I stayed 2 nights in a Larger Than Life Size Hotel Room in a Studio Style with ACTUAL 2 queen sized beds and came with a Kitchenette. It actually has a full 6 feet tall refrigerator, a real microwave, a Brand Name Coffee / Espresso Maker and a dish sink. I have never never had in my life booked a Hotel like this type of Condominium Hotel Room before ever. I am very skeptical and undoubt myself if I booked the right hotel. I always booked a hotel with the beds and the bathroom ; that's it. Hotel Faubourg Montreal is ACTUALLY very clean. My room that I have chosen and booked was a Studio, 2 Queen Beds, Kitchenette. The room does NOT have an odor smell and it actually smells fresh and normal. The bathroom is considered so clean and so so many towels provided. Small facial towels, medium towels and the big shower towels. I am very surprised and very pleased. The receptionist puted me in a room viewing and facing Montreal Downtown Skyline with direct looking at The Complexe Desjardins Mall which I really wished for. I also very very lucky that I have met the General Manager of Hotel Faubourg Montreal on the next morning. I actually don't have any money to buy the Charger for my NEW cellphone. In my Wild guess, I asked the young man Receptionist at the Front Desk to borrow a charger to charge my cellphone battery temporarily until they are full. He happens to be the General Manager that morning. He is very helpful and very wise. The Breakfast is Very Superb."

"Room was a bit dated but very spacious and clean. Staff were friendly. The breakfast was a bonus. It was fairly basic, but had decent variety. My only issue was the set up of the breakfast buffet wasn’t very easy to navigate when very busy. Nowhere to rest your tray while waiting for your toast, etc. Overall, the location and accommodations were good for the price, would stay again! "
