"The room itself smelled like stale smoke, HOWEVER, the view was amazing! We were assigned a room on the lake and it was so lovely. The lake was full of more birds than I had ever seen (egrets, ibises, heron, ducks). The front desk professional was nice and helpful. The room was large. For a cheap hotel, we got our money's worth. If not for the lake and birds, I would have probably thought that it was a kinda crappy hotel but cheap for the price. The stunning scenery made it 5 stars...

"We booked the best suite in the hotel—a lake-view room. Between the bedroom and the bathroom, the ceiling tiles were damaged. The AC was extremely loud, like a helicopter landing each time it started. The bedsheets and pillows smelled moldy. Thankfully it was just one night, but I won’t stay in Lakeland again. Tampa and Orlando have better options. It’s farther from where I needed to be that day, and I couldn’t sleep all night. The lobby was nice and well maintained. The hotel rooms, however,...

"Overall experience was okay, my biggest concern or complaint was that there was no shower gel or lotion. I had to provide my own. Luckily there were nearby stores to buy those things. But I couldn’t believe the hotel was completely out. I thought it wasn’t in my room because staff forgot, only to go downstairs to be told there wasn’t any. I was offered shampoo. That’s something I’ve never used to shower. Other than that everything else was fine."

"We love our stay here and return multiple times a year. The room is super clean and comfortable. The bed, linens and pillows are comfortable and dreamy. The breakfast is done well with a variety of options from eggs, muffins, bagels, oatmeal, cereal and way more. We love the breakfast staff, they do an excellent job with the food and hospitality. Five star for us!"
