"Our family of 2 adults & 2 teens stayed for 1 night at Villas Sol. The view was breathtaking of sunset on the pacific during dinner on the terrace of the main restaurant. All staff were very courteous and helpful. Theres 3 rooms per complex perched on a very steep hill.. even taking luggage out was difficult!!! Use the park brake. Even though the small 2 double beds room was clean, it was very dated; cracked tiles There is a convenient shuttle around complex & 2 Great swimming pools with bar. Breakfast not included & an expensive at $25 USD per person "

"The staff was great. When they saw how bad my husband's walking was, they switched us to a closer room, without us even asking. The room was very nice, modern and clean. Pools were beautiful and clean. Pool bars had excellent service, and drinks as you like them. My only concern was how thoroughly the non- disposable drink cups were washed? My favorite part was seeing the monkeys playing in the trees near the pools! The food was ok. Steakhouse was very good. Asian restaurant was excellent. Mexican restaurant was not good. Italian was good,and the buffet had a wide variety so you could find foods to your liking. It was a very enjoyable vacation, hot and sunny while at home it was frigid and snowy."

"The pools were excellent! Water was super clean. My skin felt nice after each dip. No chlorine! Super quiet and peaceful. The food is amazing. Such good authentic quality and clean ingredient food. Such variety and diversity and everything fresh. Tastes so so good. Now I know why people retire to Costa Rica. This place deserves to be a blue zone. Clean air, water and food. Can even see stars at night. Beach was amazing. People with jet skis offered us a tour and it was so amazing. The rooms are probably one star less only because I’m used to four seasons but they were good value. Music at the swim up tiki bars was good. Also the people were super friendly and kind to me and my kids. Oh and there’s a perfect playground for small kids and a huge tree climbing course for bigger kids. Bonfire was a nice touch at the end of every evening. Would come back again!"

"Margaritaville was in a great location as far as being on the beach. The food was great and Elias at the swim up bar was amazing! I would definitely go back. "

"There is no wait staff at any of the resort except in the restaurants. In bars and at pools you have to go to the bar yourself. There is very limited shade at the pools. Only loungers and no sitting tables. Seats in the shade get towels on them as early as 6am. The food is limited in selection although the wings, burgers and fries from the grill at lunch were great. 3 out of 4 of us got diarrhea and puking at some point over the 2 weeks there. 2 got very sick for a few days. Not alcohol related."

"The pool was enjoyable. However, I did have a little issue w any food that I left in the room for later, was always removed and discarded. After being in the pool all day, you would want a little snack when u return to the room until dinner. The food that I had in the fridge was also discarded."
