Narrow medieval alleys bustle with vendors selling fresh seafood, blood oranges, and authentic Sicilian street food. The neighborhood's honey-colored buildings and wrought-iron balconies create a distinctly traditional atmosphere. This cultural enclave offers glimpses into genuine Sicilian life beyond the market stalls. Ancient churches like Santa Maria della Gancia stand beside traditional puppet theaters showcasing local artistry. "Pleasant. Breakfast much variety & tasty."

"This hotel is a gem. It’s right in the center of old Palermo, walkable to everywhere. But inside the hotel it is tranquil and quiet. There are a lot of public rooms and a large breakfast buffet. Overall, a great find for staying in the city."

Family Affair
Family Affair"The Family Affair rooms are on the second floor of a mixed use block in an older building in an established area of Palermo. Only 15 mins walk to the cathedral. We had a lovely evening in a nearby wine bar on their recommended list and then had dinner in a fish restaurant nearby. Felt like we were amongst the locals rather than the tourists in the historical centre. Very easy to catch a bus back to the airport rather than the very expensive taxi we took on arrival. The accommodation is very...

"Side small bed in room had dirty sheets on it and staff seemed a bit putoff by the request to have the sheets changed when we pulled back the blankets and found clearly dirty sheets. Restaurant food, view, and staff were excellent. Front desk staff only provided one key and said having 2 was "maybe possible" but 3 (since there were 3 of us) was impossible. Housekeeping request had to be made by 10AM. Cleaning staff was not observed. Hotel was in a great location to walk to places in...
