"Little trouble with getting the check-in instructions but that could have easily been my fault. Told the owner this was a gem in the corn fields like an oasis in the desert. Had a whole basement apartment that was remodeled in elegant fashion. Huge bathroom with large walk-in shower. Queen bed in a separate room and a king out among the living area. Drury Inn & Suites St Joseph

"Didn't like: I made the initial reservation through Expedia about 2 hours before we arrived, and mistakenly confirmed the reservation which had the next day as the arrival day -- also, I hadn't "guaranteed" the reservation with Expedia. I noticed the error when I received the confirmation email. immediately, and called Expedia to correct the error. This turned out to be very difficult, involving not only Expedia to "forgive" the error, but also the hotel chain to allow a cancellation (of a "no cancellation" reservation). The folks at the hotel helped me with this, pointing me to a place on the hotel chain's website to find the form. Helpful, but the form I found and filled out and submitted has not resulted in any contact from the hotel chain a week later. I'll note that the oversight was mine, but I don't know why the calendar part of the reservation form uses auto-fill rather than letting the customer fill it out (since I think I may be a victim of auto-fill)."

"My daughter and I loved staying at the mansion. Beautiful property, excellent decor, and it was very clean. We stayed in Emma and we were very impressed with the room. The bed was incredibly comfortable as well as the couch. We felt like royalty. We have decided to make this a yearly girls trip destination. Thank you Jason for your hospitality."
