"Bras d'Or Lakes Inn was a wonderful place to stay. We were there for a week (Sep 2026) and were very impressed by the friendly staff who went out of their way to make us feel at home. The restaurant served excellent dinners and some nights we also had live music - very enjoyable! It was a good location from which to explore various parts of Cape Breton Island. We highly recommend Bras d'Or Lakes Inn!"

"Remember this is a motel, not a 4/5 star hotel but having said that, it was very clean, tidy, well maintained, with great helpful staff, in a fantastic location and with a superb restaurant serving both breakfast and evening meals, all at great prices, with quality food/service and plentiful. Don't hesitate to book this property."

"We loved the location only ten minutes to Inverness beach. The grounds of property were very quaint with beautiful planters stream and forest. We stayed two nights but had to change rooms as we stayed on second floor room 5 in first building which we found very loud at night with exterior doors banging and some other nuisance noise in early morning hours. We changed rooms to second building and were much happier with little deck outside."

"Very clean, had everything one would need. I'm more of a minimalist but that's an individuals taste. It was quiet which I was looking for. Wifi/phone is spotty, had to go outside to get a signal..not a big deal. love the walk to the water, the beach was lovely. Overall, I would definitely rent there again."
