Attending wedding inSan Diego with good friends

My friends and i all enjoyed our 2 nites' stay at this property! It's a huge and nice house as well as a perfect location close to beach! Matt the owner responded to our request to fix the shower door right away. We had a wonderful time and highly recommended this place for vacation!

Nice place!

The property was clean, very spacious and comfortable. The host had all the amenities needed to make for an enjoyable stay. An entertainment business sits directly behind the property that can get a little noisy at night, however, I was able to sleep through it. Overall, nice place.

Beach weekend.

Family beach weekend getaway. Open and spacious floor plan is the perfect for large groups. We had a great stay with all the comforts from home and then some.

Place was OK but not clean

Property was as described. I'm pretty sure the sheets on my bed (master) weren't changed--there was sand in the bottom of them the first night and we had just flown in and not yet gone to a beach. We wanted to use the grill but it had mouse droppings and a broken igniter. There also seemed to be mouse droppings under the kitchen sink. When I contacted the owner they responded right away.

Oceanside Beach getaway

We really liked the Oceanside Beach area. The house is comfortable but was not cleaned well prior to our arrival I did not report this to the manager, though. I am very picky when it comes to cleanliness and I usually just clean myself under those circumstance. He did allow us to arrive a bit early which was very kind. It is a nice basic house with lots of space. The beds are comfortable, there is a garage to use for parking which is great, and it has lots of areas to hang out. I know California properties close to the beach are expensive, and this is a more budget-friendly (according to Cali beach standards) one that is close to lots of great things. The noise level was high a couple of nights in the master bedroom, so I recommend a sound machine. Thankfully I had packed mine. I'm just used to nicer properties when spending that much money per night, but hey, it's Cali.

Best Family vacation EVERRRR!!!

The property was just as advertised.it fit all 7 of comfortably. The sandy beach was not to far away which was perfect. The house had everything we needed and Matt was awesome when needing extra check out time. Will definitely we be booking again. Thanks Matt.

Home away from home

Amazing stay no problems during our stay. Big spacious home that’s very clean. Definitely would stay here again and recommend to families. This is the first home I’ve stayed where the kitchen had everything we needed to complete a meal pots,pans ect.

Roomy Beach City house

The home was just as advertised and well kept up. The kitchen has enough of the basics to knock out a meal including the grill. It is definitely close to a rocky beach. But if you want a sandy spot to enjoy, you'll have to walk or drive up a ways then set up your spot. It's still closer than fighting traffic from home to the beach though. We're overall happy with the location once we had a beach plan. And the house itself is great.

Grandson Birthday Stay

I was in the Navy at Camp Pendleton 15 years ago.My baby girl and my grandson had never been to Oceanside.We took the entire family to Oceanside for my grandson's birthday and Matt's property was great.They went to the beach and we went up and down Coast highway visiting different restaurants.Overall the trip was great and we are coming back in March and we'll be using Matt's property again

Efficient

The property itself is nice. The area is not quiet if that's what you're looking for. There's a club behind the property and the frequency of trains with bells passing across the street throughout the day. Although, if you're looking for clean and, spacious place to hold a nice size group... this is the place for you. The property manager was flexible with our check out time and that was very nice!

Girl's Trip

We had a wonderful time staying at this property. The house was very clean and well stocked with any kitchen items we could possibly need. We were only a few blocks from the rocky beach and a 20 minute walk from the Strand. The rooftop deck is an added bonus. We loved the fire pit and fireplaces in the house because the weather was a little chilly and rainy. We would definitely stay at this property again.

Attending Graduation

Great place to come a relax. We attended Graduation at MCRD San Diego. Very clean and spacious. Lots of room for everyone. Nice having the garage to park in. Close to everything. Thanks Matt for being a great host.

Great house layout for families.

Not quite the location I had in mind. The master faced a bar which was quite loud. One evening there was a bar fight and the police came. The train tracks were a half a block away and were also loud. Limited beach access. You definitely have to drive to get to a kid friendly beach.

Thanksgiving in Oceanside

We spent a lovely Thanksgiving Weekend in Oceanside at the Townsite Home. The weather was gorgeous. The home is close to the beach but access to sandy beach is a half mile walk north. While there is a closer beach access, it is through a boulder and rock strewn trail that is not for small kids or seniors. The home backs to a bar so there is some late night noise from the alley. The train crossing is a block to the west, but we really didn't hear it during our stay. There is an outdoor propane griddle but not a BBQ. Quite a few of the lights were out in the home, including the dining room chandelier, the over head floodlights in the living room and the bathroom lights over the sink in the master bathroom. Overall the home was clean and the beds were comfortable. The appliances all worked, but the washing machine detergent auto-dispenser does not work. The non stick frying pans are pretty worn and all of the knives were dull. Most of the cupboard doors are sticky. The kitchen sink retractable nozzle is sprung. The couches were comfortable for watching TV and we liked the large dining area. All the things described are a little nit-picky and we made everything work. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the lodging was good. With a few adjustments it would be excellent. Marc

Wonderful week

The property was spacious and clean. Since we were only two couples traveling together, we only used two of the three bedrooms. The kitchen was very nice and had most if not all of the cookware we needed. The train tracks are very close, but the sound of the trains did not bother us at all. Our only regret was that we didn't utilize the rooftop deck more. :)

Spacious, minimalist house

My adult girlfriends and I rented this property for a weekend and it was an excellent experience. There were no problems getting into the house and everything was as expected, actually even better than expected. The AC works great which was a real help since it’s August. There are several places to sit together and chat and a nice big table with seating for up to seven comfortably. If you will be cooking, the kitchen is spacious and has a great island, however I would suggest bringing your favorite pan and anything you might need for cooking that is specialized. There were no measuring spoons but we made do. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this clean and modern property.
