"Amazing view. Very nice accommodations. Convenient access to the Schilthorn Gondola. The only downside is that room 26 is directly below the restaurant, which was noisy because chairs slid on the floor until 10:30. Restaurant was convenient and had very good food. They let me order and take food to room because my spouse was ill. Overall, a great place to stay!"

This is an amazing hotel perfectly situated directly across from Grindelwald First. When I say directly across, I mean you can be at Grindelwald First in less than 5 mins. Less than that if you can walk a slight incline quickly.
You are also perfectly situated by the shops and restaurants!
The hotel is beautiful! The upgraded rooms are amazing and the amenities are to die for.
I had a single upgraded room that had a balcony facing the Wetterhorn. I would enjoy my coffee on the balcony each...

Now, I’m going to be honest. The rooms are not updated or fancy…more like a holiday inn….but the staff more than makes up for the simple/old rooms. Every single person was so nice, kind, and helpful. Georgia was especially helpful to us! We appreciated her advice! The outdoor deck was beautiful, and the restaurant was fantastic! Also, the location could not be better with amazing views.

I’ve provided many reviews in the past as a simple courtesy, but I am obliged to submit this review based on yet another memorable stay at the Aspen. This was my third stay and the experience continues to be a 4+/5 star feel. My very well-appointed 3rd floor, corner suite had such excellent views of the surroundings, I ordered room service each night. Speaking of food, the breakfast continues to impress with fresh cheese, meats, bread, muesli, juice…you name it…and eggs made to order. I...

I cannot say enough good things about the staff at the hotel. Traveling single, I had a lot of questions, and the staff at the desk fielded them all and were very helpful.
The hotel is conveniently located about 3 minutes from the train station, so you do not have to walk far.
The morning breakfast offered was a great way to start your day. I did eat at the hotel restaraunt one evening during my stay. The food was delicious. (I am more of a simple fare kind of person, so Iate in bars for dinner...

I stayed at the Tschuggen hotel with my wife for 2 nights. The location was right in the heart of Grindelwald; very close to the main train station and the gondola to First. There are many restaurants and a grocery store nearby. The owners arrange a wonderful breakfast for the guests every morning. Our room had a great view of the mountains behind the hotel.

Restaurant was reasonably priced and good. System was well-organized; staff was friendly; and there is a playground next door. I did not have a chance to try the breakfast since needing to leave early.
The beds were rather firm. And the bathroom door gives a truly cultural experience to family-style (clear on bottom and does not completely separate the rooms but is sufficient). Otherwise, it is perfect and would be 5 stars.
