"If you’re a bugaphobe, this place is not for you, way too many spiders and bugs. Also meaning the property was not cleaned properly. The bathrooms are also very awkward, the shower doesn’t heat properly. Very thin walls. The stove and oven are just for show. All in all, the place looks amazing and the cafe and restaurant were nice as well, the room was spacious as well. One very important thing is to get food before the restaurant closes because there is no other food nearby for miles."

"The place is brand new. They’ve been open for about a month, that part was nice. Not everything is 100% yet though. One of the washing machines didn’t work so I was up all night redoing my laundry. The staff would not reimburse me. Then after that caused me to be up all night, they would not give me a late checkout. The front desk staff were just not that good. The rooms are pretty nice but the beds are pretty cheap"

"What a gem of a place. For a first timer in HMB, I was very impressed with the layout of this hotel. Only guests are allowed onsite (so our car felt safe); almost every room has a view of the bay; we got a free bottle of wine and glass-free wine glasses to take to the giant jacuzzi! The staff was so very helpful (the young male with the curly hair!) and he recommended the Bodega Head hike—which was phenomenal. "It is a basic room, but the location is really good. It was clean, but the whole place could use an upgrade (fresh paint, upgraded towels, screens on the windows, updated ac and hot water). Staff is super kind!"

"It is an old hotel with lots of charm (on the outside). The lobby falls a little flat and could use a little more character and tbh... it smelled unpleasant! The room was very nice and looked as expected as shown in the photos. The king bed was very nice and comfortable, however the pillows were not - they went flat as soon as you laid your head on them. I think an addition of a desk would go a long way. The walls are thin so I heard our very loud neighbors talking on the phone 11pm at night....

"It’s a run-down motel with absolutely no upgrades or upkeep. While it was clean and the air conditioning worked, it was a ghost town and the complex actually felt abandoned. The pictures you see on Google and all booking and review sites are extremely old! The motel is not nearly as modern nor are the sights around it - the waterfront is closed down and decommissioned entirely adding more to the ghost town feel of the motel!"

"I feel the website needs to include the picture of the 'overflow' building where we had to stay because they had no more rooms available in the main building. No where on the website is the 'overflow' building shown or mentioned which looks nothing like the main building from the outside. We noticed possible non client random people outside the parking lot/wall/trash dumpster on their phones and or smoking. I had to close my room door fast so the cigarette smoke wouldn't come in the room. Also...

"The hotel is overpriced for what they offer. I paid over $300 for 1 night. There is breakfast but it is basically cereal and bread and coffee. They have a good, big coffee machine. There are no eggs, milk. Some tangerines. The bathtub bottom was so thin that I was afraid it would crack if standing on it. It made me feel unstable when I stood on it. The sheets are not cotton. Not used to sleep on polyester. Yes, the room is huge but everything is old including a fleece blanket and the bad cover....
