"We had a wonderful stay! The place was very nice—clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Having a refrigerator and kitchen was very helpful, especially for preparing quick meals and storing snacks. The 7-Eleven just a short walk away was also super convenient. The owners were incredibly helpful and kind, always quick to respond and genuinely caring. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a great place to stay. "Comfortable, well-located house in a quiet residential alley. The house was quite cold when I arrived, and it took some time to heat up. The place doesn’t get much sunlight. Cool to stay in a machiya. Stairs are narrow and more like a ladder, but easily navigable for younger and smaller bodies. For the price there are more comfortable and equally well situated places around. "

"Great host and communication. The house is cozy and it had everything we needed. The air conditioning was great in the Japanese heatwave. In just under 10 minutes, you can walk to some of the nicest streets in Kyoto with temples and cafes. However, everything around there closes quite early and becomes really quiet - so be aware if it’s not your vibe. Not a big deal for me, though.
