Room was very clean. I was charged at extra 9 euros for property tax stayed from sep 4 to the 9th. Was charged 54 euro instead of 45. On the board inside the room it indicates 4.50 per person per day thus we were 2. In my books 9.00 by 5 days equals 45.00. The other inconvenience is outside the premises there is a lot of garbage and a lot of homeless people. To get to public transportation is about a 5 minute walk which was great.
Property is charming, the hosts were very nice and communicated well the access instructions.
Unfortunately the area around the hotel is not safe at all, nor clean.
I had some issues with check in they do not have anyone after 8 pm for check in i prefer Hotels with some one to check in we cut short our visit to be back in time . The staff is very rude .There was some miscommunication he charged me for two people when one person stayed . Very unsafe area of town too .
Very difficult to find, the number listed isn’t the correct number, or no one answers. the toilet seat and lid were not attached to the toilet. A piece of the door frame fell off while opening the bathroom door and hit my friend in the head. There is a working elevator and AC, so I guess that was a perk. Once you receive the manager’s what’s app number he does respond quickly.
If you’re thinking of visiting Naples in general, don’t. The area this hotel was in was not safe or welcoming. We watched 3 drug deals within walking 5 minutes from the hotel. Getting into the hotel was the cherry on top of the awful experience. There was no one in the lobby to let us into the hotel, another resident in the building had to let us into the hobbit door of the building and tell us where to find the lobby. When we got to the hotel door there was no one there to let us in but a couple was inside who were also waiting for someone to talk to. They let me talk to the manager on the phone who barely spoke English and told me to message him on WhatsApp to get instructions. If it wasn’t for that couple, we wouldn’t have had any way of contacting anyone to get into our room. Such chaos. Do not recommend. The bedding also had stains on it and we slept under our own blankets.
The first mistake I made was booking this hotel before any reviews existed. I will never repeat that mistake. The second mistake was choosing a non-refundable rate — and I regretted it the moment I arrived. And don’t expect any help from Expedia if you booked non-refundable — they will not protect you. Once you’ve paid, you’re on your own.
If you book a Superior Suite, Balcony, City View, don’t expect to actually get it. The manager decided on his own that I didn’t “need” a balcony and told me that since I was staying five nights, the kitchen was more important. When I pointed out that I had paid for a balcony, his response was that if I wanted to smoke, I could just open the window and smoke out of it. For me, the balcony was the only reason to book this room. Without it, I would never have chosen this hotel.
The so-called “kitchen” is a complete joke. There is no ventilation, so any cooking would fill the room with smoke. There is no table to eat at, and only one chair by a tiny side table near the door. The only realistic use of this “kitchen” is to open a bottle of wine and drink it — nothing more.
All communication with the manager was through WhatsApp. At the front desk there was a scared young girl who spoke no English and demanded cash for city taxes. Credit cards were not accepted, so bring cash if you’re reckless enough to book this place.
As many other reviews already mention, the neighbourhood is extremely sketchy and unsafe.
Zero stars if I could.
