"We heard great reviews for this hotel from friends in Manado, so we booked a room for our stay. I’m giving five stars because I believe my friends. However, a volcano meant that our flight turned around 30 minutes before we were supposed to land in Manado. We couldn’t use our reservation. I wrote to Expedia and the hotel to cancel the reservation. Expedia said they couldn’t refund the money because they needed to first receive the consent of the hotel and the hotel didn’t respond the hotel...

My wife and I were perfectly satisfied with the room, which had a balcony overlooking the parking lot and, beyond it, a cemetery. "Nice hotel in central Manado, with friendly managemant. Had big problem because Expedia did not pay the bill. The hotel could not arrange it. I had to do a lot of correspondence and the responses from expedia came very slow. Hotel was ok, Expedis a nightmare."

Extra friendly and helpful staff! Good location near seaside restaurants and shopping malls. Good breakfast.
But
1. Safety box didn't work before and after repairing
2. You had to tell reseption if you wanted to go to swimming pool, because it was locked. Waiting every day somebody to come and open the door.
3. We got somebody elses laundry and some of ours were missing. Found later.
4. The elevator didn't work properly. It left us too high and we had to jump out. Out of order in last...
