Top Mount Hutt Hotel Reviews
Sudima Christchurch Airport
10/10 Excellent
"Clean rooms helpful staff."
Drifter Christchurch
10/10 Excellent
"Booked this because of the high reviews, and it did not disappoint. In the heart of the city, most things felt very walkable from here. Then front desk workers gave excellent restaurant recommendations. The room was cozy and clean, but not excessive—exactly what a traveler with “champagne taste, beer budget” is looking for. Would definitely consider staying at other drifter locations after this experience."
Sudima Christchurch City
10/10 Excellent
"Good modern room, with polite staff on hand"
ibis Christchurch
8/10 Good
"The breakfast was great, and the staff at the front desk were wonderful and very welcoming. The room itself was good; however, the entire ceiling was covered in dust from the air-conditioning unit, which was quite disappointing. We were also unable to adjust the air-conditioning settings in the room, which was frustrating as one night we were too hot and the next we were too cold. The location was excellent, with plenty of food options and shops within easy walking distance. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the friendly staff and convenient location."
Fable Christchurch
8/10 Good
"Staff are lovely and very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and well kept. The food off the à la cart menu was delicious, but buffet breakfast was not very good, and food was cold."
The Observatory Hotel Christchurch
10/10 Excellent
"We absolutely loved our stay at The Observatory Hotel. The hotel itself is beautiful, full of character and history, and the location in the Arts Centre, right opposite the Botanic Gardens, is fantastic. We loved being able to walk everywhere and explore Christchurch from such a central yet peaceful location. Our room was beautifully decorated, comfortable and full of lovely little touches. The whole hotel has such a unique feel, it’s much more than just a hotel and feels like you’re staying somewhere with a real story and character. The communal lounge was also a lovely touch and a great place to relax, with tea, coffee and little treats available. The staff were warm, friendly and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. We particularly loved the atmosphere of the surrounding Arts Centre, with its historic buildings, cafés, food options and independent shops right on the doorstep. The Observatory was easily one of our favourite places we stayed in Christchurch. It’s stylish without feeling stuffy, full of character without losing comfort, and in an unbeatable location. We’d definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere a little different and special in Christchurch."

Bealey Quarter
10/10 Excellent
"Great stay for the price. Rooms were clean. City centre is only a 20 min walk from hotel. Very helpful front desk staff. Especially the French gentleman. Always doing above and beyond. Super friendly. Unfortunately I didn’t get his name. Would stay here again"
