Top Minaki Hotel Reviews

Kenricia Hotel

Kenricia Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"Okay so the thing you have to understand is that the Kenricia (a historic hotel) is under extensive renovations, presently the elevator was not functioning and few rooms were available. It is also a very old building with creeky tall staircase, construction sites, boarded off sections and the historic scent of the bygone smoking in doors era. The staff were forthright and offered a refund but as it A) had secure parking B)a good price and c ) the room itself was very clean and newly renovated (if the building itself still has the scent.) it is in the heart of downtown Kenora which has its own 'charm' but we enjoyed both nearby pubs, sat by the waterfront, went dancing and played pool. Give the Kenricia a chance, it's sketchiness was charming and I truly can't wait to see what it looks like after the renovations when it has been brought back to life (however long that takes.) 10/10."

"Although the room was quaint and cosy, it was comfortable and well equipped. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The inn is located in a quiet neighbourhood, close to everything you need, and most importantly it is pet friendly. My dog and I had a lovely stay and recommend it."

Stone House Kenora

10/10 Excellent
"We had such a wonderful stay at The Stone House! Nicole, our host, could not have been sweeter. She greeted us when we arrived, offered to help with our bags, showed us around, and made us feel genuinely welcomed and looked after. She also recommended The Vault Social House for dinner—an absolute hidden gem and one of those local recommendations we never would have found on our own! The Stone House was lovely, but Nicole's hospitality really made the stay special. Warm, welcoming, and personal—exactly what you hope to find while traveling. We would absolutely stay here again!"

10/10 Excellent
"Cottage was private, well designed, and beautifully decorated. Absolutely gorgeous location. Not perfect if you have mobility issues as the dock is down quite a few stairs and has a steep ramp. Swimming was great but beware that the Winnipeg river has a bit of current and if you are boating you will have to be creative with gas as there are few marinas with public gas pumps on the river. We moored our boat in Kenora. Overall a great destination. Would absolutely recommend it."

Lake-Vu Motel

Lake-Vu Motel

8/10 Good
"Convenient location, fairly priced, gives you the basics needed for a home base to go back to after exploring Kenora & surrounding area (bed, shower, tv). Walls are quite thin, may not be able to count on sleeping in. Could hear kids laughing at 9am in another room loud enough to make it sound like they were in the same room. Or perhaps they were in the shared entrance area and it was a doorway sound proofing.issue, either way it was disruptive."
