You needn’t venture far for adventure; woodland trails begin from the doorstep and local wildlife can be seen and heard all around. Further afield, Rand Farm Park (10 miles) offers days full of farmyard experiences, from livestock feeding to a popular play barn. Willingham Woods (12 miles) is perfect for cycling, hiking and picnics, while Wild Pines (13 miles) offers treetop zip-wires, rope bridges and woodland trails to explore.
This unique hideaway really does celebrate the outdoors, with a small cluster of wooden structures combining to offer your nature-immersed living space. A covered outdoor kitchen and dining area sets the scene for al fresco cooking and eating; find everything needed for cooking up light meals, which can be enjoyed at the nearby picnic table. A rustic shower hut is on-hand to start and end each day feeling refreshed, with a separate WC offering space and convenience. At the end of each magical day outside, retreat to the sleeping area housed in a charming, curved pod. Here, you’ll find a restful double bed and floor-to-ceiling windows filling the space with natural light. If you’re bringing little ones, a handy pull-out single bed and a single futon sleep an extra two little guests – please arrange with the owners before arrival.
Step out at the start of each day to the sound of birdsong and sunlight pouring through the trees – this enclosed and private space offers endless opportunities for romantic adventures and family fun. Guests will also benefit from private, off-road parking for two cars.
