"Wonderful "

"The staff were all wonderful -- helpful, friendly, and efficient! This is a great location, within walking distance of many things and kitty corner from Carnegie Hall. The bathroom had a nice big tub, and the room didn't feel as tiny as other NYC hotel rooms. My only complaint is that this is an older hotel and feels very dated and worn out. My room was so "old" feeling that it had a bit of the "ick" factor. Also, when I got to my room, the windows were wide open (in March's colder weather). I...

"We did not have a breakfast here- but the menu looked great!"

"Hotel receptionists allocated me a room that was already occupied by someone else. Embarrassing and wasting time to solve the problem. Two successive receptionists blamed the occupant rather than taking responsibility for knowing the status of their rooms. The bath had some sort of silver discs floating out of the plug hole. Didn’t feel like an experience worth the price, or a standard of service becoming of the price. "

"In general, the property was satisfactory. A major reason I would not book a room there again is that the noise level on the street was outrageous. Garbage trucks operated at midnight. Construction teams unloaded heavy metal materials all day and early morning. Although the room was clean, the drawers had lint and crumbs. No coffee maker? No VIP "beverage for two" as noted on Expedia's web site? We asked/reminded the front office staff about our VIP beverage, and she said she did not have any....
