The Equinox Preserve covers 914 acres of forest lands on the eastern slopes of Mount Equinox in Manchester, Vermont. The land is owned by the nearby Equinox Resort, open to guests with trails of varying difficulty.
Got up at 4:30 to get this one. The preserve is absolutely stunning from sunrise to sunset. I did hear something big a couple of times in the woods in the dark on the way up, which was a little unnerving but I made it back in one piece. Standing alone on the bank of this lake/pond, I heard someone in the forest shout 'Goooood Mornin' Vietnaaaam!', a tribute to one of Robin Williams' best films and one you should watch if you haven't already.

We love visiting Orvis, while we did visit a couple of the “designer outlets”, I am generally not a fan of them, I feel like they bring an unnecessary air of pretentiousness to an otherwise amazing place. We loved visiting the small local businesses.
